Dua Lipa, an English musician and singer, was born in London, on 22 August 1995. The self-titled debut album was released in 2017 following her signed with Warner Bros Records. It reached the top 3 spot on the U.K. Charts and released eight singles. This included Be the One I.D.G.A.F, the U.K. Number One single New Rules as well as the U.K. Number. #1 Single New Rules. Lipa received her Brit Awards in 2018 as a British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act. Her album has been certified platinum across several countries around the world. Dua Lipa was born on August 22, 1995 in London with Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Her parents are of Kosovo Albanian descent. Bosnian descent through her maternal grandmother. Additionally, you can trace back her ancestors in the Kosovo village of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa's grandfathers were both history professors. She is the sister of Rina Lipa, and has a younger brother named Gjin. Lipa was influenced musically by her father, who was the guitarist and singer in the Kosovan rock band Oda. Her musical influences were derived from her father's music which featured his compositions as well as songs by artists like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa was just five years old when she began singing. When she was in her 9th year she was singing in Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa sang Beautiful Christina Aguilera's Beautiful, and If Ain't Get You from Alicia Keys. In 2014, Lipa signed a record deal in partnership with Warner Bros. Records. The first single she released was New Love was released in August of 2015.
