Meagan Good's maternal grandmother Tyra was in her teens when she worked in Panorama City as a manager and her father Leondis Leon Good, a policeman with the LAPD. The acting career of Meagan Good began around age four. She was raised in Canyon Country, California with three of her siblings. In the beginning of her career, she appeared as an actor on TV shows like Doogie Howser Amen or M.D. At the age of 13, she appeared in her first film Friday. Eve's Bayou, 1997. The film was her debut. Image Award nominated. Good began to take on smaller film and television roles for several years and began transitioning into more seasoned roles in the early 2000s. On Nickelodeon's Cousin Sceeter show, she portrayed Nina. Between 1998 and 2001, she played in the TV series "Cousin Skeeter". In addition, she was cast in small roles for the films House Party down to the end of the Minute and 3 Strikes. She played Vanessa Scott in the sitcom My Wife and Kids. She was in D.E.B.S (2004), a comedy action movie. This movie earned her nomination for Best Actress by the Black Movie Awards in 2005. Following this, she appeared in a variety of films, including You've Got Yourself Served, Cookout The Venom: One Mistake call Waist Deep as well as The Love Guru. In 2012, she appeared seen on T.V. In addition to films her roles included Mya and Ms. Stevens respectively in Think Like a Man with an impressive cast, and Dysfunctional Friend starring a small group. She began her screen career with the web-series If Can Dream. Kara Killmer's on-screen career began in 2010 when she appeared in the first episode Simon Fuller's Hulu television show If I Can Dream. The reality show revolves around a troupe of actors who live in a Hollywood California house.
