One of her personal highlights was getting selected to be part of Snoop in the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013, and writing songs despite all the turmoil over the last few years. I'll sit out on my front porch and play my guitar and lyrics appear and it's usually all done in under thirty minutes. As she continues develop as a musician, Niykee says that the pain of her history is an unending source of unlikely ideas. The hurt I experienced growing up as well as the loss of my sister are evident in my lyrics even though they're not literal. This influences my music and helps to create this greater understanding behind all things that's an important thing that I value. It is important to me to realize that I could hear any of my songs 20 years down the road and feel proud of the things I wrote.
